D-galactose, also known as mucous sugar, is a natural simple sugar, which is mainly found in nature as a component of the milk sugar (lactose), but is also obtained by vegetable fermentation, as with our product. Its glycemic index is just 20 and is therefore ideal not only for lactose-intolerant people, but also for diabetics. The simple sugar does not affect the insulin level and is also well tolerated.

The galactose fulfils several functions in the body. This makes it an indispensable building material for the walls of the body cells and a component of many proteins.
